General Information
What is the Cerebras Developer Tier (PayGo)?
The Cerebras Developer Tier brings our own native PayGo experience to our customers. The "Pay As You Go" billing system allows you to purchase credits upfront and use them based on your actual token consumption. This ensures you only pay for what you use.
How does PayGo compare to subscriptions?
PayGo introduces a new flexible way to pay per token consumed and come with higher rate limits. Subscriptions provide lower rate limits at predictable costs.
Can I use both PayGo and subscriptions?
Yes, however the two cannot be combined on the same model. PayGo credits can only be applied to models that don't have an active subscription. Usage on subscribed models won't consume PayGo credits.

How much do you charge for PayGo?
Pricing is based on input and output token consumption according to our published pricing documentation. Different models have different per-token costs, and you'll be charged separately for input and output tokens.
What are the rate limits?
For gpt oss 120B:
Tokens Per Minute (TPM): 1,000,000
Requests Per Minute (RPM): 1000
For ZAI GLM 4.7:
Tokens Per Minute (TPM): 500,000
Requests Per Minute (RPM): 500
For Qwen 3 235B Instruct:
Tokens Per Minute (TPM): 500,000
Requests Per Minute (RPM): 500
For Llama 3.1 8B
Tokens Per Minute (TPM): 2,000,000
Requests Per Minute (RPM): 2000

Do credits expire?
Yes, credits expire one year after purchase.
Can I set up automatic recharging?
Yes, you can configure auto recharging by setting:
A balance threshold that triggers automatic recharging
The amount to recharge to when the threshold is reached
What happens if my balance hits zero?
Your rate limits will revert to 0 until you add more credits. To prevent service interruption, ensure you maintain a positive credit balance and/or leverage the automatic recharge functionality.

How do I get help?
Cerebras Self-Serve PayGo comes with community support on our Discord. Please post questions to cerebras-support. The Discord channel is actively monitored during US business hours.
Why did I receive a small charge at the end of the billing period?
In cases where users have spiky usage, it’s possible for a user to accrue small amounts of negative balances before rate limiting kicks in. These small negative balances may then be charged at the end of a billing period. Our terms at this link specify the details of this, in case you’d like to read more.
Why am I receiving a 402 Error?
If you are on a “Team” org-type, having an active subscription or available credit balance is required. API Keys attached to “Team” orgs that do not have an active subscription or available credit balance will throw a 402.
To resolve this error, visit the billing tab and select a paid option. Free usage and API keys can continue to be found on your Personal account.
I added credits. Why is my API Key still returning a 402 Error?
Please ensure that you are using the API Key attached to your “Team” org and not your Personal account. You can find it in the API Keys tab.
Are usage and spend graphs real time?
Graphs can be delayed by up to 5 minutes.
Why is my credit balance not going down?
Ensure that you have had material token consumption for there to have been a balance change. Please refer to our pricing page for further information.
There may also be delays up to a few minutes.
How can I get a refund for a credit balance purchase?
All purchases are final. If you have questions, please email inference-billing@cerebras.net.
